Exciting opportunity to lead operational and strategic delivery at the Brain and Mind Centre
Base Salary $146,197 - $154,260 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
As the Operations Manager – Research, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Brain and Mind Centre (BMC), supporting the implementation of research and education programs, managing operational resources, and ensuring alignment with University policies. This role is pivotal in enabling the BMC to deliver on its strategic objectives through effective planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
work within a dynamic team, reporting to Chief Operating Officer
provide strategic advice and support to the Academic Co-Directors and COO on business plans and implementation
manage day-to-day operations, administrative systems, and resource planning for the BMC
oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
lead the administration of multidisciplinary philanthropic gifts
manage communications with internal teams and stakeholders
identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
About you
tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in a relevant field
experience in strategic and operational planning within a complex organisation
financial management experience including budgeting and expenditure control
strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities
experience in facility or building management and executive-level committee support.
