Job Description

As the Sr. HR Operations Specialist, you’ll deliver timely, high-quality support to employees across the US and Canada, drive seamless day-to-day HR processes, maintain compliance with local policies and employment regulations, and foster a consistently positive employee experience. It calls for someone detail-oriented, well-versed in North American HR practices, and confident working independently while partnering effectively across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compliance, Legal, and the broader business.

We work collaboratively as a team, we are relentless in the pursuit of excellence, we are curious and will boldly challenge the status quo if we can provide a better way, and we aim to strike a balance between process efficiency, effectiveness, and controls and compliance. We are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and insightful information with a high level of customer service, while striving to continuously improve our processes to help scale our operations to support future growth.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as Tier 1 support for U.S.-based employees, responding to inquiries related to HR policies, processes, and Workday transactions.
  • Process employee life cycle changes in Workday (e.g. hires, terminations, job changes) with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, system access, and compliance steps.
  • Partner with U.S. HR Business Partners to support regional process execution and case escalations.
  • Ensure accurate and complete employee records in compliance with U.S. regulatory and company requirements.
  • Partner with the Global HR Compliance Lead and U.S. stakeholders to support audits, SOX reviews, and internal controls.
  • Run regular data audits to ensure consistency, flag anomalies, and maintain integrity across Workday and other systems.
  • Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and refinement of U.S. HR process documentation and employee-facing Knowledge Base content, spotting gaps, updating articles, and keeping guidance crystal-clear.
  • Participate in HR digital projects to drive automation, self-service and ticket deflection.
  • Occasionally needed to work flexible hours aligned with the US.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business Administration, or related field. (required)
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, shared services, or employee services—preferably with U.S.-focused support.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday (or similar HRIS) and a case management system such as ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of U.S. employment practices, HR compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Curiosity about how technology, automation, and AI can improve employee experience and streamline operations—you're eager to learn and experiment with new tools that support scalable HR service delivery.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including comfort interacting with stakeholders in North America. Proficiency in French is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset, a bias for action, and a desire to continually improve and simplify.
