In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the Japanese Commercial strategy, drive sustainable growth, and represent the Rare Disease & Cardiometabolic Commercial Business Unit (CBU) on the Japan leadership team. A Typical Day:
- Deliver the Japanese Rare Disease P&L by aligning resource allocation with financial and non-financial targets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sustainable profit growth in the short and mid-term.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Global Development, to achieve operational and performance goals.
- Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including physicians, payers, and patient organizations, to enhance Regeneron’s reputation and impact.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of marketers and sales representatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards across healthcare, legal, and quality assurance domains.
- Represent Regeneron Japan in global forums, acting as a key ambassador for the company’s vision and values.
- Oversee the implementation of infrastructure and processes necessary to meet business objectives.

To Be Considered:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive pharmaceutical or biotech commercial management roles, with at least 5 years in sales leadership within rare diseases.
- Proven success in country management or business unit leadership, including product launches and achieving significant results in innovative enterprises.
- Strong relationships within the Japanese rare disease market, including key opinion leaders, payers, and patient organizations.
- Advanced degree in science and/or business (Master’s degree or higher preferred).
- Knowledge of the Japanese gene therapy market is a plus.
- A willingness to travel (30-40%) and the ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries.
