Research Assistant (25260189)

The Academy of Geography, Sociology and International Studies is calling for applications for the position of a research assistant for a project on income inequality among sociologists. Data in the public domain will be collected from websites from various countries but especially in the US. The data will be compiled and then stored in Excel. Basic descriptive statistics will then be obtained using Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Principal Investigator in data collection for the project;
• Conduct information and literature search for the Principal Investigator; and
• Take up some minor administrative duties when necessary. 

Requirements:

• A bachelor degree or above in Sociology or related Social Science disciplines;
• Good working familiarity with Excel; 
• Good command of written and spoken English; and
• Responsible, independent, and detail oriented.

The appointment will be for a contract of six months. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
