The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- maintain calendar regularly and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and draft minutes for the PI
- arrange meeting logistics, such as venue, food, stationary, and other required items
- assist the PI in formatting reports, documents, and presentations etc
- assist in getting permission from different organizations, department as per PI ongoing work requirement
- draft and manage letters, emails, and official correspondence
- coordinate with the departmental central team on all administrative matters related to PI
- visit field sites for administrative matters and liaise with departments to organize local and international meetings, seminars, and conferences
- provide support to the GA in managing periodic online requests and follow-ups with Finance, HR, PSCMD, and other support departments on need basis
- assist with any other assignment as and when required.
Requirements:
You should have:
- a Bachelor degree from a recognized university
- minimum 1–2 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally supporting senior management
- hands-on administrative experience with responsibilities such as scheduling, correspondence, documentation, and cross-departmental coordination
- strong organizational and time-management skills
- good verbal and written communication abilities
- proficiency in MS Office and online collaboration tools
- ability to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders
attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism.
