Senior AWS Technical Architect

We currently have a career opportunity for an AWS Technical Architect to join our Cloud & API Practice. The role will be working Central and Eastern time zones.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Technical Architect with a strong delivery focus to lead cloud architecture design and implementation across complex enterprise environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring successful delivery of AWS-based solutions, aligning technical strategy with business goals, and driving execution excellence across client engagements.

• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures tailored to client needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and cloud-native solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with AWS best practices.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of AWS solutions, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks and technical challenges proactively.
• Establish and enforce cloud architecture standards, frameworks, and reusable patterns.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on AWS strategy and implementation.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, estimations, and proposal development.
• Proven experience as an AWS Architect with a strong delivery track record.
• Deep understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and cost optimization.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect – Professional) highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
• A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes on AWS).
• Background in enterprise IT, software development, or consulting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730.
