Essential Functions And Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARYThe Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the development of dancers on the
team. This involves assisting with choreography, supporting rehearsal preparation
and action, reviewing music, aiding in the spiritual development, and teaching skills
and technique to the dancers. This role ensures that the team fulfills the goals and
mission of the university by competing on the national level and representing the
University at various athletic events. This role maintains industry standards in
keeping with University standards, and working to establish quality Liberty
University relationships as well as external relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in organizing and running rehearsals
2. Assist with choreography and performance details.
3. Responsible for game day/event logistics.
4. Assist with administrative tasks including ordering uniforms and scheduling events.
5. Assist in performance preparation and on-field coaching.
6. Assist in recruiting efforts including CFAW and auditions.
7. Other assigned tasks from the Head Coach
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for helping oversee 28 dancers with the Women’s Dance Team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Coaching experience with on the field performances and competition dancing. High level of coaching skills and technique.
Current SafeSport Certification
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
