•Evaluate existing financial management and reporting processes to identify areas for enhancement and improvement, ensuring transparency and accuracy. •Address challenges related to cost allocation, categorization, and reporting to improve the effectiveness of financial data analysis. •Develop and implement streamlined processes and methodologies to consolidate data from multiple sources for generating comprehensive financial reports. •Utilize advanced tools such as Access, Alteryx, Power BI, and other similar applications to efficiently process and analyze large volumes of financial data. •Extensive knowledge of SAP/HANA/HYPERION to support the data needs for ad-hoc analyses. •Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments to align the new financial reporting process with organizational needs and goals. •Provide expert analysis and insight into financial data, including a thorough understanding of concepts such as debits, credits, P&L statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements. •Demonstrated understanding of fundamental financial and accounting principles, including accrual accounting, revenue recognition, financial ratios, and cash flow analysis. •Strong analytical skill to interpret financial statements, evaluate financial performance, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Skillset:
•Extensive experience in using integrated financial systems. SAP/Hyperion/HANA preferred. •Strong technical skills with proficiency in tools such as Access, Alteryx, Power BI, and similar applications for efficient financial data processing and analysis. •Expertise in creating visually compelling and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, with the ability to integrate data from multiple sources and optimize data models for efficient analysis and visualization. •Demonstrated proficiency in Alteryx, including data preparation, blending, and transformation capabilities. Ability to leverage Alteryx workflows to streamline data processing and automate repetitive tasks for efficient financial analysis. •Strong knowledge of advanced Excel functions, including VBA, data analysis tools, and financial modeling. Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets using VBA, Excel formulas and functions to derive insights for financial reporting and analysis. •Good understanding of Access database management, including creating and optimizing database structures, SQL query writing, and data extraction for financial analysis. Proficiency in using Access to maintain and organize financial data in a structured and efficient manner. •Proven track record of identifying limitations in existing financial reporting processes and successfully implementing improvements. •Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex financial data. •Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis, with the ability to identify discrepancies, errors, and outliers. •Experience in addressing limitations in existing financial reporting processes and implementing improvements. •Relevant technical/functional certifications such as Alteryx Designer Core, Microsoft PL-300, CFA will be advantageous.Educational qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university. Professional degree/certifications preferred. Advanced knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles and policies.Work experience
•Minimum of 4 - 6 years of progressive responsibility in accounting and/or financial analysis, data analytics roles working in a medium to large scale corporate environment preferably with a Big 4 firm. •Responsibilities include interfacing with senior management, clients, and other stakeholders in an advisory or support role.Senior
