About Project

We are partnering with HomeLend, a US-based FinTech platform that streamlines mortgage and financial workflows. The platform enables seamless interactions between stakeholders, ensuring compliance, transparency, and efficiency across the lending process. You will join a distributed team of engineers, product managers, and business experts working on scalable backend solutions, financial data integrations, and operational workflows.

Requirements

Required Skills And Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with Python and Django
• Strong expertise in designing and delivering production-grade APIs
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, migrations, optimization)
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and external system integrations
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design principles
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to work independently and mentor other developers
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn complex business domains

Nice To Have:

• Experience in the financial services domain
• Familiarity with data formats and integrations (XML, JSON, modern APIs)
• Background in consultancy or client services with direct stakeholder interaction
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and performance tuning in production environments
• Understanding of security best practices in backend systems and data handling

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical delivery by collaborating with product managers and stakeholders, turning business goals into backend solutions
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Python/Django
• Architect and maintain PostgreSQL data models, including schema design and migrations
• Build and optimize ETL workflows to support financial operations
• Ensure data quality and compliance standards are met
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, architectural planning, and technical discussions
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Long-term focus: transparent communication and minimal bureaucracy, leading to long-term relationships
