Position Summary


The Senior Director of Marketing, Communications, and Culture serves as a strategic partner to the executive team, responsible for shaping and driving the organization’s brand, communications, and employee culture. This role leads the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies that elevate the company’s visibility, strengthen its reputation, and engage both internal and external stakeholders.
In addition to overseeing brand identity, media relations, and marketing campaigns, this role directs executive and employee communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational priorities. As a steward of company culture, this role fosters employee engagement, champions organizational values, and develops initiatives that build a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace.

Responsibilities

  • • Develop and execute integrated communication and marketing strategies aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, values and business priorities
  • • Define goals, KPIs, and success metrics to measure impact and ensure continuous improvement
  • • Safeguard and strengthen the organization’s brand identity, ensuring clear, consistent, and compelling messaging across all platforms and audiences
  • • Anticipate executive communication needs and provide proactive counsel to advance strategic objectives
  • • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, coaching them on communication style, executive presence, and personal brand development
  • • Draft and refine high-profile content, including speeches, presentations, press releases, and social media posts
  • • Lead internal communications to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational updates, cultural initiatives, and strategic priorities
  • • Oversee marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, print, trade shows, industry events, and thought leadership opportunities
  • • Build and manage strong media relationships, securing coverage through press releases, interviews, and proactive engagement
  • • Oversee crisis and reputation management strategies to mitigate risks and protect organizational credibility
  • • Develop and implement programs that reinforce the organization’s mission, vision, values, and desired workplace behaviors
  • • Design and execute initiatives that boost engagement, morale, and employee satisfaction across all levels of the organization
  • • Partner with leadership to support organizational change initiatives, ensuring employees understand, embrace, and adopt new processes, structures, and strategies
  • • Manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize impact and ROI
  • • Monitor industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to continuously evolve and elevate communication strategies
  • • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• 12+ years of progressive experience in executive, internal, or corporate communications, ideally within GOVCON, technology, or other global, fast-paced industries
• Demonstrated experience in strategic marketing and communications planning with proven ability to design and execute innovative communications strategies, driving initiatives from concept to completion
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, including expertise in presentations, storytelling, and message development
• Skilled at building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with stakeholders across multiple business functions
• Strong understanding of branding principles, brand management, and media relations, including crisis communication
• Serve as a culture ambassador, promoting company values and cultural initiatives across all levels of the organization
• High emotional intelligence and proven ability to build trust and relationships across all levels of an organization
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive results under pressure
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Trusted advisor mindset—discreet, reliable, and able to build credibility with executive leadership
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
