Product Quality Engineer

General Information

 

Your main task in this role is to support the production locations in creating and sustaining customer satisfaction during series product lifetime.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction in terms of quality and warranty, especially in crisis situations, escalations, or dissatisfaction; 
• Proactively develop strong customer relationships at multiple levels within the customer organization; 
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the customer quality organizations in the assigned segment; 
• Drive quality understanding within the segment organization; 
• Actively support project teams and customer clusters to ensure all quality requirements are met; 
• Ensure application of appropriate quality methods and tools to achieve customer requirements; 
• Manage and ensure quality satisfaction of assigned customers; 
• Ensure the customer quality complaint process for the area of responsibility and the escalation process with the customer; 
• Coordinate the further procedure (e.g. introduction of quality assurance measures) with the divisions and follows up on the implementation of the measures. 

Your Qualifications

• Academic degree in Engineering or comparable qualification; 
• Several years of experience in the automotive quality area; 
• First experience in an engineering department (e.g. R&D or test and validation) desirable;
• VDA 6.3 experience is of advantage;
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken, German skills are of advantage;
• Willingness to travel (~10%);
• Team player and visible influencer as well as reliability; 
• Ability to work collaboratively in an intercultural environment.
