The Principal EPMO operating model & Maturity lead will be instrumental in advancing the maturity and capabilities of the Enterprise project Management Office (EPMO). This role will drive the design and implementation of the EPMO operating model, manage the integration of a Project Portfolio Management tool, and oversee critical aspects of resource management, demand and capacity planning, and time tracking. Working closely with senior leadership, the principal will be responsible for ensuring that the EPMO’s operating model is aligned with the organizational priorities and that it delivers on the strategic goals of the business through high-performance project delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  1. EPMO Operating Model development
  2. PPM Tool evaluation and implementation
  3. Resource Management and Capacity Planning 
  4. Maturity assessment and continuous improvement
  5. Governance and Change Management
  6. Stakeholder Engagement
  7. Performance and Process Optimization
  8. Team Development and Mentorship

Skills:

  • Proven experience in evaluating and implementing third party PPM Tools
  • Strong expertise in resource management, capacity planning and demand forecasting 
  • Experience with change management, particularly in the context of process and tool adoption
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Key Competencies:

  • Strategic and operational thinking with a focus on driving organizational maturity and project management excellence
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights to improve project performance
  • High-level communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Any relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years experience in program or project management.
  • 3 years experience impacting the healthcare experience for members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Or equivalent educ/experience.
  • Coursework/Training Completion of advanced-level educational program in business process improvement, project management, change and transition management. Or equivalent educ/experience.
  • 3 years Experience in organization transformation.
  • 7 years Experience working in or with an integrated health system; legal experience; financial accounting; change and transition management; professional consulting experience.
