A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As the Senior Manager, Lean Continuous Improvement Manager, you support the start-up of a brand-new manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia. You will bring your expertise in Lean for the primary responsibility to drive the operational organization towards a sustainable lean culture while also being recognized as the face of Continuous Improvement through demonstrated actions and results. This role is a key position within the new state of the art facility for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across multi product lines and functions. It will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation

You Make an Impact By:

  • Establishing and ensuring world class process standards across the business units’ landscape and drive problem resolution around instances that are not aligned with established standards
  • Driving the implementation and standardization of these best practices, project or programs across manufacturing, service, warehousing and office environments
  • Working with key business stakeholders, and multi-jurisdictional ‘LEAN champions’, to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing program of change
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of a ‘best-in-class’ continuous improvement strategy
  • Eventually lead Lean engineers through-out the site
  • Developing global Lean metrics and reporting
  • Actively driving and developing standardized business tools required for OPEX/Lean programs
  • Managing and updating the Lean Continuous Improvement Insight Pages
  • Leading and facilitating continuous improvement activities.
  • Deploy training to all employees on tools/programs ensuring that lean-continuous improvement methods and tools are understood, accepted, and implemented.
  • Ensuring OPEX-Lean programs are being implemented and driven as needed
  • Monitoring and following up on implemented programs providing support if required
  • Leading, guiding, energizing, and executing lean activities and special projects driven by specific site needs.

Skills You Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in lean continuous improvement or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Strategic, pragmatic and collaborative mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at different levels of the organization
  • Experience in a complex global business environment
