Provide general administrative and clerical assistance and support for the clinic. Greet, register, check-in and schedule patient appointments. Provide Neighborcare information to patients. Work in partnership and joint accountability with other team members to achieve Neighborcare’s Mission, Guiding Principles and goals.
This is a full-time position with a weekly schedule of Monday through Friday from 830 am to 5 pm. The Ballard Medical Clinic services are for adults (ages 18+) who are currently experiencing homelessness, experienced homelessness in the past year, or do not have stable, safe, permanent, or place to live. Services available Include: medical care, mental health counseling, case management, insurance eligibility, health education, social services referrals, and outreach.

Compensation:
- The target wage range for this position is $20.76 per hour to $27.52 per hour.
- Final offers are individually based on various factors, including skill set, years of experience, location, qualifications, work schedule and other job-related reasons.

In This Position You Will:
- Prepare clinic to open and close for business in a timely manner, in accordance with the clinic’s posted schedule; Check in patients and create charts: gather and update patient information
- Answer telephones, schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments and transfer calls to appropriate staff member; Assist provider teams with paperwork, copying, faxing, etc.
- Manage inventory of office supplies, including the ordering, receiving and stocking of supplies; Monitor referrals and communicate with referral team; Using EMR, send tasks and communications to provider team members
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computers with the ability to learn and use company software programs
- Ability to meet and comply with HIPPA/Confidentiality policies and procedures
- Ability to be detail oriented and multi-task,to organize and problem solve
- Ability to work effectively with staff members and patients
- Ability to effectively perform job duties under high levels of activity, variety of conditions and restraints
- Ability to prioritize and follow through with front office tasks; to follow written and verbal directions and to complete assigned task
- Ability to be empathetic towards patients
- Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and customer service; to remain calm and professional when faced with difficult situations and emergencies; to perform de-escalation tactics, and open to learning more
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand basic math
- Ability to demonstrate predictable, reliable and timely attendance
Required qualifications for this position include:
