Fitness Dance Instructor (Contract)

Westminster–Canterbury of the Blue Ridge’s Fitness Team is looking for a Contracted Fitness Aerobics or Zumba Gold Instructor to teach one to two classes per week to our Independent Living seniors. We are open to different fitness opportunities.   We are looking for someone to start teaching one class per week on Fridays from 9:00am to 10:00am. The second class opportunity would be on either Mondays or Wednesdays from 9:00am to 10:00am. The pay rate will be approximately $25 to $35 per class

Responsibilities

• Planning & implementing a well thought out class that varies class-to-class.
• Planned workout to include warm-up, aerobic workout, and cool-down.
• Motivate participants with words of encouragement.
• Provide frequent modification options.
• Creating your own music playlist.
• Ensuring the safety of all participants.
• Being present for questions and set-up at least 10 minutes prior to class and after.
• Ensuring proper sanitation of all equipment.
• Keeping an attendance record of participants.
• Always conduct yourself in a professional manner. 

Requirements

• Group Exercise Certification or
• Specialty Fitness Dance Certification i.e., Dance Fitness, Zumba, Jazzercise, etc. (preferred) 
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (preferred)
