Senior Android Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer with deep experience in Kotlin or Java to join our Global engineering team. You will play a key role in designing and building scalable application for our trading and financial products. This is a hands-on development role and you will contribute to the architecture, performance, reliability and security of our mobile applications.

What You’Ll Do:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance mobile applications for Android devices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning Engineering, Product, DevOps, Testing, Compliance, Operations and Business development
• Drive the roadmap for Android application development for new products from concept to scaling up
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable and testable code
• Incorporate testing into code to ensure stability, reliability and effective handling of edge cases
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability and reliability issues

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience designing, building and deploying Android applications in production environments
• Strong experience in Kotlin or Java for building mobile applications
• Deep understanding of the Android framework and avenues for performance optimisation
• Experience in integrating analytics tools
• Experience with incorporating security best practices in Android applications
• Strong communication, collaboration skills; Familiarity with Agile workflows

Good To Have:

• Familiarity with Jetpack, Retrofit, OkHttp, React JS or Java / Spring Boot is a plus
• Experience with integrating websockets
