Civil Engineer, Dam Safety

Job Description

• Provide operational and technical support to the team.
• Assisting in project coordination, implementation, and execution.
• Carry out engineering design, analysis and reporting as required by Project Managers.
• Providing regular updates on work in progress.
• Tabulating dam safety data and generating reports.
• Handling administrative duties like setting up meetings and drafting documents.
• Tracking project progress and identifying potential issues.
• Contributing to the delivery of hydropower and dams projects within Country.
• Preparing tender documentation, applying dam data and work permits for dam safety projects.

Job Specification

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Knowledge of project coordination in engineering industry.
• Experience in design and construction of Dam and Civil Works.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards for dam and civil engineering projects
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to tabulate data and generate reports.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, software and tools.
• Knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques.
• Knowledge and experience in dam safety projects, i.e. dam safety inspections, reviews, emergency preparedness, site investigation and engineering survey of a dam project, preparation of tender documentation, application of dam data and work permits for dam safety projects.
