115Job Description
The Supply Coordinator Analyst works directly with Supervisors and Managers of Materials Management to help develop and maintain policies and procedures related to the technology of ordering and maintaining inventory. Sets up and maintains the automatic ordering system for all existing and future supply areas under materials management. Works with all individuals regarding ordering supplies, including clinical staff. Working with outside entities to help problem solve any issues that arise with rental supply systems. Responsible to educate materials management staff on newest inventory systems and policies.
Responsibilities and Duties
Analyzes technologies, industries, and market trends and makes recommendations for innovative approaches to solving business and technical problems.
Maintains understanding of how individual work and decisions fit into the broader organizational supply demand.
Shares knowledge and collaborates on decision-making and problem solving, by providing feedback on policies, standards, guidelines and procedures within the Materials Management structure.
Designs solutions that maximize positive influence on upstream and downstream processes, such as incident and problem management.
Designs and leads the implementation of technological solutions within the materials management requirements.
Acts as a mentor for all supply departments.
Maintains a balanced approach between technology and strategic focused solutions and approaches. Analyzes new and existing solutions to identify opportunities for improvement.
Contributes to staff knowledge by providing building blocks and constructs that contribute to supply and demand standards within Valley Health.
Works within project management process to provide relevant work breakdown structure elements and contributes to the project lifecycle for realization of timely and effective results.
Provides advice and make decisions about which technologies would be suitable to use for various projects.
Other responsibilities include customer service, specific administrative/clerical tasks, support functions and facilitating communication among team members under the supervision of the manager of materials management.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's degree in related field preferred
Experience
1 year of relevant experience

Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, families, physicians and fellow employees.
