About the role

As a Test Technician at Micromeritics, you will play a key role in verifying the performance of various instrument components and ensuring product quality. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot, test, and improve electronic assemblies and systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What you will bring to the role:

Verify the performance of various instrument components.
Report all non-conformances in incoming tests and assist in their evaluation.
Assist in testing returned materials.
Work from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, sketches, and written/verbal instructions to test and verify PC boards and sub-assemblies.
Perform assembly work requiring protective equipment (suit, goggles).
Operate electronic test equipment to troubleshoot PC boards and sub-assemblies to the component level and maintain records.
Test prototype assemblies.
Maintain and repair test fixtures as needed.
Answer technical questions from assemblers.
Identify and implement improvements in the testing process.
Generate, review, and maintain documentation files.
Meet quality, quantity, and manufacturing practices to satisfy customer requirements.

Qualifications:

Associate Electronic Technical Certification or equivalent education/experience.
Working knowledge of production and quality processes, procedures, and product flow.
Thorough understanding of testing techniques and instruments.
Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity and math skills.
Ability to distinguish colors.
Intermediate computer skills.
Experience with mechanical and electronic measurement/test equipment.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
