A Day In The Life
The Structural Heart (SH) Technical Consultant promotes, supports, and services Medtronic’s Structural Heart products in Slovakia to help gain market share. SH seeks collaborative, patient-centric candidates who are passionate and reflect the diverse experiences of our patients. The role requires meeting customer expectations through accountability, reliability, and quality in products, processes, and systems. Key responsibilities include providing technical support during customer meetings and calls, implant support, introduction of new products, and contributing to product development by offering feedback for new or modified products. Flexibility to work or travel outside normal business hours is required.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Provide technical expertise and support during the implantation, installation, and maintenance of Medtronic products in CathLabs and customer locations.
- Support sales functions through product demonstrations, sales presentations, and customer meetings.
- Conduct on-site education for existing and prospective customers, acting as a liaison between sales personnel and healthcare professionals.
- Deliver follow-up technical support and application guidance to sales staff and customer personnel.
- Coordinate customer activities at assigned meetings and complete required administrative reporting (e.g., expense reports, account profiles, competitive updates, inventory logs).
- Provide market intelligence on competitive activity, customer preferences, pricing, and product features, while managing time and assets effectively.
- Maintain adequate inventory (trunk stock) and a high level of product knowledge across assigned product lines.
Required Knowledge And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or 5 years of medical device sales experience in hospital/specialty clinic settings, or 3 years of prior Clinical/Technical Specialist experience
- Proven selling, marketing, communication, and presentation skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
- Fluent in English and Slovak, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management and healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, monitor, and execute projects on time and within budget
- High capacity to absorb complex technical product knowledge, persuade, explain, and advise effectively
- Proficient in technology and reporting tools (e.g., iPad, Salesforce.com, PC applications).
Preferred qualifications include a demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results, along with a willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
