The Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle to attract, source, screen, and hire top talent aligned with the organization's needs and culture. This role partners closely with hiring managers to develop effective staffing strategies, ensures positive candidate experience, and contributes to building a strong employer brand.

Reports To: Vice President, Talent Acquisition

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job requirements, and selection criteria.
  • Execute sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals, and recruitment events.
  • Manage the full recruitment life cycle, including posting job ads, reviewing applications, conducting screenings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating offers.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records to ensure accurate and timely updates.
  • Conduct reference checks, background checks, and ensure compliance with all employment laws and internal policies.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience by ensuring timely communication and feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Scope Of Responsibility:

This is an individual contributor role that works on projects and matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed and is expected to follow established procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

Knowledge And Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in high-volume recruiting environments.
  • Strong proficiency in sourcing, interviewing, and negotiating with candidates.
  • Experience managing candidates and the offer process within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Proven ability to influence and guide hiring managers to implement best hiring practices.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and customers while safeguarding confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and a minimum of 1 year of full-cycle recruitment experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear, both in person and by phone or web meetings.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to read and interpret data on a computer screen or printed documents.
  • Work is performed in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels, in a climate-controlled environment with heating and air conditioning.
  • Potential for remote work or hybrid work arrangement.
  • Maybe required to lift up to 30 pounds.

Travel Required:

Travel may be required approximately 5% of the time to LRS sites for job fairs, conferences, meetings, etc.
