Role Overview
The Junior Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of ECS installations, both on customer-hosted and cloud-hosted systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Windows Server environments, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to learn and grow into managing software migrations and backend system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for ECS software deployments (on-prem and cloud-hosted).
- Assist customers with troubleshooting application, performance, and connectivity issues.
- Support installation, configuration, and upgrades of ECS software and backend components.
- Assist with Windows Server environment management, including user access, permissions, and patching.
- Document troubleshooting steps, common issues, and solutions in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on software migrations and backend upgrades.
- Participate in after-hours support rotation (as needed)
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a technical support, IT, or helpdesk role.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with databases (Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues methodically.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred (Nice-To-Have):
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in a healthcare or software vendor setting.
- Knowledge of cloud-hosted environments (Azure, AWS, or managed hosting).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Exposure to software migration processes or upgrade projects
