IT Network Engineer

As an IT Network Engineer at Access Bank PLC, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the bank's network infrastructure. Your primary goal will be to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for all users and services, supporting the organization’s operations and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and deploy local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other networking solutions.
2. Install, configure, and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
3. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
4. Implement security protocols to protect the network from unauthorized access and threats.
5. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with applications and systems.
6. Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and compliance.
7. Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
8. Assist in disaster recovery planning and network resiliency measures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
2. 3+ years IT Networks experience
3. Experience IT Networks service provider management and engagements
4. Competency in IT Networks management tools and processes
5. Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
6. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and technologies.
7. Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Fortinet or other networking hardware.
8. Network certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Huawei, Fortinet Network+, etc.) are highly preferred.
9. Knowledge of network security practices and tools.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
