Tax Experienced Senior, Global Tax Outsourcing

Job Summary:

The Tax Experienced Senior, Global Tax Outsourcing will help deliver exceptional client service to BDO's fast expanding client base.  The Tax Experienced Senior, Global Tax Outsourcing will work as part of a dedicated team, taking responsibility for controlling a number of clients’ outsourced service lines, working directly with clients and the supporting team.  Overall responsibilities include ensuring that input, output and project management are conducted to BDO's quality standards while conducting tax administration for overseas tax compliance; interacting with BDO International member firms; managing the GTO tools including the SharePoint Portals; managing RFP responses; marketing; general administration; and ensuring that the Global Tax Outsourcing processes are followed in compliance with firm policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Oversees all aspects of a number of projects including: review of periodic reporting packages, management reporting and compliance for a number of overseas entities:
  • Production and enhancement of regular management reporting
  • Assist Managers with new client transitions and set up of new entities
  • Dealing with multiple deadlines, and prioritization of tasks to ensure client deadlines are met
  • Liaison with BDO Global offices and other BDO service line streams as necessary
  • Liaison with clients on a regular basis, dealing with more complex issues which may arise
  • Ensures all clients’ needs are met in regards to answering queries promptly, building a rapport with the client and anticipating requirements
  • Provides clients with value-adding recommendations for improvements in processes and controls
  • Leads implementing process improvements and efficiencies
  • Maintains awareness of risk and deliver high quality documents
  • Become involved in non-client projects/ad-hoc pieces of work to raise profile within the team
  • Flexibility to deal with changing situations and reporting deadlines
  • Participates in sales and marketing activities
  • May serve as contact point for client, as needed
  • Runs client conference calls
• Other duties as required including managing billing/collection for Global Tax Outsourcing

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Works with Manager, Sr. Manager and Director of Global Tax Outsourcing to ensure leadership is aware of any issues and trends and work to resolve them
• Supervises, coaches, motivates and develops Experienced Associates and Interns.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree, required; 
• Focus in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Economics or Finance preferred

Experience:

• Four (4) or more years related work experience, required
• Prior experience in a professional services firm or working for an outsourcing services provider, preferred
• Experience supporting international operations and US clients, preferred

Software:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred
• Proficient in SharePoint, preferred
• Knowledge of accounting and/or tax software, preferred

Language:

• Proficiency in more than one language, preferred

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate with diverse personalities at all organizational levels of the firm in a tactful and mature manner
• Ability to respond tactfully and professionally in high demand situations
• Excellent written and verbal communicate skills
• Excellent organization/computer skills with the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle various projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently or within a group environment
• Knowledge of firm’s quality standards and procedures 
• Knowledge of tax due dates, tax forms, etc. 

 

 

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $74,550 - $147,000
Maryland Range: $74,550 - $147,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $74,550 - $147,000
Washington DC Range: $74,550 - $147,000
