Mission Of The Candidate:
The Head of Europe IT and Corporate IT Controlling acts as a strategic leader and financial steward for IT across ArcelorMittal’s operations. This role ensures transparency, optimization, and governance of IT costs and investments across Flat Europe, Long Europe, AMDS, and Corporate IT, as well as consolidation and tracking IT Financials for the rest of the ArcelorMittal.
The candidate will bridge technical and financial domains, enabling CIOs and executive leadership to make informed, value-driven decisions.
Job Description – Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition, monitoring, and governance of IT budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and Opex/Capex compliance.
- Provide consolidated IT financial reporting to the Group CIO and CFO
- Analyze IT costs and activities to deliver transparency to Europe CIO, segment CIOs, and to the business
- Harmonize IT cost processes across segments and legal entities.
- Define and manage charge-back rules and processes, including IFA reporting and transparency to payers.
- Support tax and transfer pricing audits with accurate and timely financial data.
- Oversee IT systems for financial and activity reporting, including transversal charge-back mechanisms.
- Prepare and lead budget reviews, forecasts, and actuals reporting; identify deviations and propose mitigation plans.
- Optimize Opex, Capex, and EBITDA through strategic financial planning and cost control.
- Support IT teams with procurement and administrative processes, including contract and flow monitoring.
- Manage a team of 4–5 IT Controllers across Corporate, Flat, Long, AMDS, and ITSR Services.
- Act as a strategic liaison between IT and Finance, ensuring technology investments align with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT financial governance, reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support enterprise-wide IT initiatives.
- Provide business context and support to project teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Track project progress, communicate updates to stakeholders, and assist in risk and issue management.
- Facilitate change management initiatives and prepare business units for new applications or system enhancements.
- Monitor application performance and ensure alignment with business expectations.
- Define and negotiate SLAs with departments and ensure compliance.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
Skills & Specifications:
- Strong understanding of IT service management and financial governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Experience with project and change management methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with SLA frameworks and vendor performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of ArcelorMittal governance structure is a strong asset.
Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in IT financial management or controlling roles, preferably in multinational or matrix organizations.
Languages:
- English (mandatory)
- French or other European languages are a plus.
