Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Consultant with expertise in system administration and compliance to support our pharmaceutical operations. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure optimal performance, continuous availability, and full compliance of critical systems in a regulated environment. This role involves hands-on system administration, compliance oversight, user access management, and solution development aligned with both IT strategy and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid role with 25% travel to Tennessee required.
  • Provide expert-level system administration to ensure availability, performance, and compliance of pharmaceutical IT systems.
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for all system administration activities.
  • Maintain systems in a state of continuous compliance and inspection readiness through routine maintenance, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in collaboration with stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Work closely with internal business partners and external vendors to ensure timely execution of upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Define, establish, and manage user roles and privileges, ensuring appropriate access control for system administrators, business users, and third parties.
  • Perform end-to-end user account management, including user license allocation, creation of new accounts, and password/role management in accordance with licensing agreements and internal IT policies.
  • Manage and resolve system issue tickets, ensuring timely and appropriate resolutions.
  • Collaborate with business users to identify system or process needs, develop solutions, and ensure alignment with long-term business and IT strategy.
  • Work with IT vendors to keep systems current and compliant, following industry trends, vendor updates, and client-specific policies.


Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent related to IT discipline (Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in IT system administration, preferably within the pharmaceutical or regulated industries.
  • Experience with ERP, LIMS, Quality Management Systems (QMS), or other pharma-relevant platforms preferred.
  • Proficient in managing vendor relationships and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to self-direct and manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Travel is required. At PSC Biotech, many of our projects and clients are located in various regions around the country.
