Job Summary:

Responsible for the oversight of clinic operations in all assigned markets. Ensures efficient and effective operations through highly engaged staff and providers and is an integral member of executive teams, developing and executing key strategic initiatives that extend the reach of the mission of Adventist Health, with a focus on driving clinic performance by reducing variation towards One Adventist Health and system-wide cohesiveness. Manages the daily operations of all clinics in assigned markets and oversees all clinic managers and staff. Plans and maintains operational budgets and staffing levels and is responsible for the goals and financial performance of each clinic. Ensures EHR is accurately implemented and providers and staff are trained and supported appropriately. Accountable for the performance of the clinic revenue cycle which includes co-pay collections, provider charges, coding and documentation. Responsible for performance improvement activities for the clinics based on clinic needs to ensure quality patient care. Actively participates and supports the managers in Market Operations Councils and Practice Operations Councils and works with other health care professionals to provide quality patient care, safety and educational needs. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Job Requirements:

Education And Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree in business administration, management, health care management, or related field: Preferred
  • Ten years' relevant experience: Preferred
  • Five years' leadership experience in a multi-clinic environment: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Incorporates Loss Control/Safety program recommendations utilizing loss data in order to identify patterns/trends related to occupational disability; promotes best practices to ensure programs are designed to meet IAM and market goals.
  • Monitors progress of selected annual performance metrics for each assigned market.
  • Contributes to publication of monthly IAM newsletters on injury prevention related topics.
  • Ensures that all initiatives are a collaborative effort, applied consistently across assigned clinics and are mindful of our unified system approach as One Adventist Health. Motivates clinic leadership and physicians to perform and achieve goals. In consultation with HR, oversees recruiting, interviewing, hiring, as well as the progressive disciplinary process for staff. Oversees staff learning and development. When necessary, defines appropriate disciplinary action and administrates actions within AHPS policies and procedures.
  • Evaluates performance, identifies opportunities for improvements, and defines plans for performance goal achievement as outlined within AHPS performance evaluation policies and AHPS Aligned Goals and LEM. Ensures the AHPS Governance structure is in place and functioning optimally which includes oversight of the Market Operations Directors who help lead the Market Operations Council meetings. Ensures that other meetings (i.e. monthly staff meetings, Practice Operations Council meetings, etc.) are conducted in accordance with standards and original intent.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
