The Procurement Sr Manager plan, define, negotiate, and implement sourcing strategies for a set of categories of spend such as but not limited to maintenance and/or development and construction for Mexico and the LatAm region fulfill business needs within ATC processes, procedures, and policies. Develop the right relationships models with suppliers, including regular monitoring, as enablers to deliver ATC business goals and objectives
The incumbent will manage all product activities involved in forecasting, planning, sourcing, procurement. This individual is also accountable for managing and enhancing existing supplier relationships including regular monitoring, as enablers to deliver ATC goals. He/she will continuously focus on operational efficiencies
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Part of the leadership team that will be able to take decisions to deliver and improve business performance providing holistic views of the solutions that need to be provided
- Lead and supervise all sourcing activities as required by the regional/global chain program
- Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous projects and vendors
- Manages purchases process, following the standards set by the company and in agreement with local legislation.
- Define for regional/local categories, or implement for regional or global categories, sourcing strategies that will deliver value to the company taking into consideration market trends, suppliers cost drivers, macro-economic conditions, new technologies and regulations.
- Continually monitor and develop vendors to ensure highest level of quality of suppliers
- Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers that will bring value to the business in the short, mid and long term.
- Develop and implement process, procedures and policies that will drive efficiencies and agility to the business providing all necessary controls.
- Track market evolution and adapt sourcing strategies the company needs.
- Develop of new solutions and alternatives in conjunction with the internal areas, especially Sales and Operations.
- Monitor and stimulate economy gains through indicators (savings).
- Assure conformity with the compliance requirements set by internal and external audit and regulators.
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: : (In the future the role may not have people reporting)
- Supervise and manage the performance of the Procurement team.
- Partner with Human Resources team and Senior Management to recruit, develop and retain staff.
- Provide disciplined performance management for team. Define and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner
- Proactively identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Advanced or fluent English, with basic Portuguese (nice to have, not a must)
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel.
- Knowledge in the other features of MS Office, Outlook and Windows.
- Working knowledge in Telecommunication industry, preferably in services and materials necessary for the construction of infrastructure sites.
- Able to multitask and work with a diverse team.
- Strong negotiation skills; Able to deal with pressure from customers and negotiating the deadlines;
- Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate others to achieve results.
- Ability to work collaboratively at regional level
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and unsupervised environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to resolve complex issues of contracts and pricing.
- Analytical ability and strategic thinking.
- Collaborative, persuasive and able to influence / driving decisions through technical analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
- Desirable MBA in related areas.
- 10+ years’ experience in Procurement for multinational companies
- Significant experience construction/procurement required
- 5+ year customer service experience required
- More than seven years as management experience, preferably the companies in the Telecom, Construction or Civil Engineering segment.
- Thorough knowledge of the industry and organization to be able to effectuate change
- Large experience in People Management.
