The Senior IT Operations Manager leads and drives operational excellence across the IT department in a dynamic, fast-paced financial services environment. This role is responsible for defining and executing strategy in key operational areas including permissions management, release management, asset lifecycle oversight, IT budgeting, training coordination, and vendor access. Additionally, this role oversees the Quality Assurance (QA) function, ensuring that products and services meet rigorous standards for reliability, compliance, and performance. The manager fosters a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and quality across IT operations and QA practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT Operations functions include permissions management, release management, asset tracking, and IT budgeting.
- Supervise the Technical Support Team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of end-user issues and continuous improvement of support processes.
- Supervise the IT QA Team and ensure alignment of QA best practices with organizational goals, compliance standards, and release schedules.
- Oversee the end-to-end process for permissions management including onboarding, role changes, terminations, and identity updates.
- Maintain and update IT Operations policies and procedures, ensuring documentation is drives quality execution and service.
- Manage physical security processes including badge access, alarm codes, and visitor notifications.
- Coordinate secure access for vendors and third-party partners, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across IT Operations and QA teams.
- Ensure secure and efficient remote access for team members, aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
- Oversee asset management processes for hardware, software, and lifecycle tracking, including end-of-life planning.
- Produce and analyze IT Operations reports including Splunk dashboards, budget tracking, release metrics, and innovation initiatives.
- Conduct and manage system user access reviews in collaboration with security and compliance teams.
- Support internal and external audit processes by gathering and validating operational data.
- Manage the IT release calendar, coordinating updates, upgrades, product launches, and change control processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT Operations and QA support organizational growth and strategic initiatives.
- Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: computer science, business management/administration, Computer Information Systems, IT Operations (or related field) required.
- 5+ years’ experience in leadership or team management, ITIL, IT Operations, managing IT projects, IT support, system administration, and strong understanding of IT systems in financial or regulated industry.
- Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
- ITIL, CompTIA Server+ preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities with limited direction.
- Experience with regulatory audits or compliance frameworks in banking or credit union settings
Performance Standard:
Broad knowledge of hardware, software, and programs. Ability to learn quickly, manage a team and contribute to a leadership team and manage time-critical projects simultaneously. Logical, process-oriented thinker with a natural sense of urgency. Good interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical details. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
- Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Reach keyboards.
- Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
