Job Description

The Premium Operations Team lead will oversee a delivery team with a focus on production levels, service level agreements, quality and process improvement. This position utilizes insurance operations and finance expertise along with LEAN principles to deliver quality service with a focus on team engagement. The role will work closely with the Team Manager to provide ongoing feedback and support problem solving. 

Lead team in delivery of premium operations services including:  

  • Review submissions and record premium details accurately  
  • Perform validations and review to confirm accuracy of data recorded   
  • Prepare and issue documents and reports accurately, as per specifications  
  • Prepare payment requests for commission and return premiums  
  • Ensure established service level agreements are met by team  
  • Escalate production issues proactively to ensure quick resolution 
  • Identify, lead and coordinate process improvement opportunities 
  • Ensure Productivity/Quality Tracking is monitored and accurate 
  • Coordinate and implement trainings 
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, as necessary 
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members 
  • Escalate personnel issues on a timely basis 
  • Track capacity and resources to plan  
  • Enhance and promote team engagement 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

  • Microsoft Office – Proficient 
  • Microsoft Excel – Advanced 
  • PowerBI – Proficient with views & customization 
  • Data & Analysis – Advanced 
  • Insurance/Financial Knowledge – Basic 
  • User Based Technology – Capabilities knowledge: Alteryx, PBI, Smartsheet etc. 
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of high quality results 
  • Continual improvement mindset and positive influence 
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with flexibility to changing requirements 
  • Strong customer service orientation with an ability to understand, improve workflow and processes  
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written with fluency in the English language  
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen with the ability to collect and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Working knowledge of standard insurance & reinsurance terminology  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office ,Excel, Smartsheets, Imageright, PowerBI.  
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability 

Additional Information

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics
