About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Risk & Compliance Management Specialist in our Barcelona office
that is keen to take up on a challenge!

We are a dynamic fintech providing high quality remote onboarding software throughout the EEA. We
operate in a highly regulated environment, making our work complex and exciting. In our next phase of
growth, we anticipate further diversification of our client base and product offerings, as well as a need
for a next level of sophistication of our internal organisation.

As a Risk & Compliance Management Specialist, you will work alongside the Group Risk & Compliance Manager and the
Chief Risk Officer, who are both based in Amsterdam, in sustaining our risk and compliance
infrastructure. This is a true hands on role. You will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to
shaping our organization, making sure that we tackle risks we face in our business goals, while
complying with material internal and external legislation at the same time. You will also have the
opportunity to work on other projects where required.

What you'll do
As Risk & Compliance Management Specialist, you are responsible for:
• Upkeep of our internal control framework and policy house
• Monitoring and testing of the internal control framework and policy house
• Recurring support of the business in formulating key risk findings and mitigation
• Upkeep of Business Continuity Plan and testing
• Monitoring compliance in Controlled Environment
• Facilitating ISAE and ISO audits and related project management
• Training employees on key topics
• Supporting the Group Risk & Compliance Manager and CRO in reporting to management board
and supervisory board
• Steering our Risk & Compliance work student in the Barcelona office

What you've got:
• Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in economics, law, or other relevant area
• At least 5 years of working experience as a risk and/or compliance manager
• Experience managing (enterprise wide) risks in complex environments
• Experience in running testing cycles and evaluating control effectiveness
• Experience working for a scale up, fintech, tech company and/or financial institution is
considered a big plus
• Excellent English skills (written and oral), Duch or Spanish is a plus but not mandatory
• Excellent Office skills• Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• A self-starter. Enthusiasm and willingness to roll up sleeves, learn fast, and take responsibility.
