We are seeking a highly skilled Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) QA/QC Inspector to support quality oversight of prefabricated assemblies for a major semiconductor construction project. This role is responsible for inspecting fabricated trestles, laterals, structural assemblies, and piping components at the off-site manufacturing facility, as well as verifying installation quality on-site. The inspector will ensure all work meets engineering specifications, project requirements, and industry codes while maintaining seamless coordination between fabrication and installation teams.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect prefabricated trestles, laterals, and structural/piping assemblies at the off-site manufacturing facility.
- Verify onsite installations for alignment with fabrication and project requirements.
- Ensure all fabricated components comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct dimensional checks, material verifications, and weld/fit-up inspections per applicable codes.
- Monitor QA/QC processes at the fabrication facility, including adherence to ITPs, method statements, and QA/QC procedures.
- Identify, document, and track non-conformance issues; follow up on corrective actions to resolution.
- Coordinate with on-site leadership to align fabricated components with installation requirements and project schedules.
- Review and maintain inspection reports, records, and turnover documentation for prefabricated assemblies.
- Ensure QA/QC activities are conducted in compliance with OSHA, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and recommending process improvements.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of QA/QC inspection experience in large-scale industrial, modular, or semiconductor projects.
- Strong knowledge of prefabrication methods, structural/piping assemblies, and off-site manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to conduct inspections and enforce quality standards in fabrication environments.
- Familiarity with QA/QC codes and standards for welding, structural fabrication, and piping (AWS, AISC, ASTM, ASME, etc.).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details, and installation specifications.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with GC teams, fabricators, and logistics providers.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, or related discipline preferred, but not required.
- Relevant QA/QC certifications (such as ACI, AWS, or ISO 9001 auditor) are an advantage.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
