WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to join our ongoing project in Riyadh.

•    Oversee the commercial aspects of the construction project, including managing the Commercial Manager, Contract Managers, Contract Administrators, and Senior Quantity Surveyors.
•    Certify invoices from Contractors in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contracts.
•    Respond to contractual letters, including notices, claims, and disputes, and work with legal counsel as required.
•    Review claims and Extension of Time (EOT) requests from Contractors and make recommendations to senior management regarding their validity and merit.
•    Monitor and manage project costs, budgets, and financial performance, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
•    Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, and ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
•    Provide advice and guidance to project teams on commercial and contractual matters, and ensure that all team members are fully briefed on their obligations.
•    Develop and implement commercial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure that the company achieves its commercial objectives.
•    Provide input into the preparation of bids and proposals, and participate in negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
•    Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and best practices in commercial management.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business, or Law.
•    Minimum of 18 years of extensive experience in commercial management, preferably in the construction industry.
•    5 years Middle East experience preferred.
•    Strong leadership skills and experience managing large commercial teams.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•    Knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation and regulations.
