E-commerce Assistant (Shopify)

Join an exciting wholesale business that showcases stunning, hand-knotted rugs from Turkey, Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan to retailers across New Zealand. This growing company combines traditional artisanal craftsmanship with modern e-commerce technology, participating in trade shows and building relationships with retailers nationwide. You’ll be working with a passionate entrepreneur who values reliability and creativity while expanding this unique cultural import business.

• Upload and expertly categorize approximately 1,000+ stunning rug photos per shipment
  
• Create engaging product stories with detailed descriptions including cultural origins, regional information, and traditional techniques
  
• Develop professional downloadable brochures and marketing materials for retailers to share with their customers
  
• Implement monthly website improvements and exciting new feature requests to enhance user experience
  
• Manage comprehensive Shopify wholesale platform including product listings, categorization, and inventory organization
  
• Collaborate on innovative ideas to boost sales and create compelling customer experiences
  

Requirements

• Extensive Shopify experience with proven proficiency in platform management
  
• Strong design skills for creating professional marketing materials and brochures
  
• Demonstrated e-commerce platform management experience with large product catalogs
  
• Ability to work independently and reliably with consistent communication
  
• Excellent written communication skills for discussing creative ideas and implementations
  
• Experience with wholesale or B2B e-commerce platforms preferred
  
• Reliable internet connection and professional design software access
