Description
Maintenance Mechanic include inspecting equipment on a preventive maintenance schedule; repairing pumps, motors, pulleys, fans, etc. in accordance with published manufacturers’ literature, assuring that all equipment operates within established limits set by the manufacturer of the equipment.
Has no access to patient health information.
May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.
Shift: M-F, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, on call every other week
Requirements
- High School diploma and general maintenance abilities.
- Vocational or technical school training beyond high school is recommended.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting and maintaining components which are part of environmental control systems and some electrical experience and skills is preferred.
- Must be familiar with motors, drives, mechanical equipment of all types installed at the hospital.
- Must be familiar with recognized safety procedures related to equipment repair.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
