Director SAP Enterprise Architecture (m/f/d)

In your new role, you will be part of the Enterprise Architecture team and responsible for creating and maintaining an SAP Enterprise Architecture standard that supports the SAP S/4HANA business transformation program. In addition, you will drive strategic decisions and maintain artifacts relating to existing environments and those subject to mergers, acquisitions and divestures.

Your Assignments

• Drive teams toward innovations and adoption of SAP S/4HANA best practices, identification of possibilities for application in the Fresenius environment.
• Ensure that methods, principles, processes and tools of the global Enterprise Architecture team are transferred to, applied to, and aligned with the SAP S/4HANA business transformation program.
• In the interest of an overall optimal architecture, collaborate in creating and maintaining overarching processes, principles, and blueprints which also cover, consider, and respect non-SAP areas.
• Support defining, establishing, and living overall group governance standards for Enterprise Architecture in collaboration with all business and IT entities of Fresenius.
• Ensure the alignment of architectural decision-making of SAP and non-SAP areas.
• Build strong working relationships and agree on a framework to develop a coordinated strategy and roadmaps within the business units and at the Group level.
• Accountable for development and alignment of the Fresenius IT SAP strategy supporting the business strategy.
• Evaluate and identify the products needed to support the S/4 Digital Core - the S/4 ecosystem would include a mix of SAP and non-SAP components.
• Co-develop a roadmap to support the strategy with a clear outline of the sequence of events to move from the existing landscape/solution to the S/4 environment.
• Development of an overarching release plan for the Fresenius Shared SAP environment in collaboration with program managers, solution architects and technical leaders.
• Create plans to integrate and separate environments as required.
• Identify and agree on business processes and services to remain centralized within the Fresenius IT team compared to those to be managed at the segment level to drive business alignment.
• Maintain SAP related information within LeanIX. Building AS IS and TO BE views.
• Custodian of Signavio within central team enabling tools to ingest reference models and provide integration points to SAP tool chain. Provide platform to process and solution architects to define and maintain business process definitions.

Your Profile

• Academic background or comparable work experience
• At least 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years of experience in SAP implementations
• Very extensive experience in processes or several specified IT fields or projects/programs
• Strong technical management and disciplinary leadership skills
• Experience in defining and implementing strategies and presenting them at C-level (board, senior management)
• Proven experience in approaching and elaborating the strategy, identifying key decisions and decision criteria
• Ability to present options to support decision-making with clear recommendations
• Proven experience working with large matrix organizations across multiple geographies, ideally in Health Care & Life Sciences environments
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to engage and influence senior business and IT stakeholders up to C-Level
