The role of Corporate Communications Specialist is an existing position. As a member of ASML’s Corporate Communications Department, you will report to the Head of Communications Europe and will work closely with colleagues at ASML headquarters and throughout the world.
You will play an important role in supporting ASML’s growth in the fast-moving High-Tech industry, a dynamic sector influenced by technological and societal changes. You will be expected to develop and provide support on communications initiatives related to ASML’s activities in the Netherlands and other European countries. You will engage with colleagues across Europe on topics and projects that may affect ASML business priorities, and provide strategic communications support to key stakeholders within ASML. Furthermore you will support the Head of Communications Europe to develop and execute the company’s Corporate Communications strategy in the region, and to build and maintain relationships and provide support to other departments within ASML at various levels.
Role and responsibilities
You are responsible for informing, engaging and connecting internal and external stakeholders on our communications goals and strategy and to help colleagues to reach key audiences with effective messaging. You’ll be involved in designing, developing and coordinating the execution of ASML’s Corporate Communications strategy, with a particular focus on The Netherlands and Europe.
This position requires you to
Execute complex initiatives and projects in cooperation with multiple stakeholders and demonstrates capability to analyze and break up complex problems into tasks and responsibilities that can be, and are, delegated and executed
Support key ASML executives with strategic context and communications materials
Show appetite and capability to independently identify communication risks and opportunities, and initiate and execute actions.
Work collaboratively within Communications and with other departments (e.g. HR, Customer teams, Sourcing, Legal) to ensure strategic alignment and well-informed decision-making.
Education and experience
Bachelor in Communication or Journalism preferred
Business fluency in spoken and written English. Proficiency in Dutch, German and/or French would be a plus.
At least eight years of relevant communications professional experience
Experience in an international environment would be required
In-depth knowledge and understanding of tools and working methods in corporate communications, including PR, are essential
Strong stakeholder management experience - working with executive levels in an international environment – and the ability to influence and network.
Proven ability to build and nurture a value adding stakeholder environment internally and externally.
Proven experience interacting with communications agencies and proven exposure to media relations
Ability to translate highly complex issues and strategies into clear communication goals and activity plans
Experience in working consultatively with tact and diplomacy and being persuasive in demanding situations.
Proven track record to consult on and execute relevant communications strategies across different regions and cultures.
