Senior Finance Manager/Junior Financial Controller

We’re looking for a hands-on finance leader to take ownership of our accounting, reporting and compliance functions. This is a broad role where you’ll be across the detail, but also providing the insight and advice that helps drive decision-making at the leadership table.

What You’Ll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage the month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely results.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger control and the fixed asset register.
• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts, covenant reporting and financial commentary for Budget Holders and EMT.
• Manage key processes including payroll, procure-to-pay and tax compliance (FBT, BAS, income tax, payroll tax etc).
• Partner with external auditors, lenders and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvement by embedding best-practice financial controls, policies and systems.
• Lead and support a small finance team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

What We’Re Looking For:

• CA/CPA qualification with solid post-qualification experience in finance leadership.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including AASB compliance.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, controls and process improvement.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to interpret numbers into insights.
• Confident communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience managing direct reports and developing high-performing teams.
