What Are The Key Responsibilities Of The Marketing Director - Germany?
- Marketing Strategy & Leadership: Develop, refine, and execute multi-channel marketing strategies to support business growth, customer acquisition, and retention within the financial services sector.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Brand Management: Safeguard and enhance the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and communications, and elevate the organization’s reputation in the marketplace.
- Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify opportunities, threats, and emerging trends impacting financial services.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee the design and execution of digital marketing campaigns, content marketing, social media, and online advertising to maximize digital reach and engagement.
- Product Marketing: Collaborate with product management, sales, and other cross-functional teams to launch new financial products and services, developing compelling go-to-market strategies.
- Budget Management: Plan and control the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on marketing investments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary marketing liaison to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, media partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
- Measurement & Reporting: Track performance metrics and present actionable insights to the Head of Marketing, adapting strategies as needed to achieve business goals.
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of progressive marketing experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry (banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, etc.).
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive measurable business results.
- Strong knowledge of financial products, services, and regulatory environments (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR, Basel III).
- Expertise in digital marketing, brand management, market analysis, and lead generation.
- Demonstrated experience managing large teams and complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and deliver projects on time and within scope.
