About the FSPPM
The Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management (FSPPM) is the first academic unit of the Fulbright University Vietnam. FSPPM’s mission is to advance transformative, innovative and inclusive public policy and management in Vietnam and the region – through its commitment toward excellence in teaching, research and civic engagement. In July 2019, FSPPM becomes the first Southeast Asian public policy school to be accredited by NASPAA (Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administrations).

Roles and Responsibilities
FSPPM seeks applications for a full-time Research and Outreach Associate to coordinate the School’s resources to develop, deliver, and evaluate policy research and outreach activities. The position requires work on applied and empirical research related to economic development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, natural resource management, policy dialogue, and related issues.
The roles and responsibilities of the Research and Outreach Associate include:
· Participate in and support the teaching activities of senior instructors in both regular degree programs and executive education programs;
· Design and conduct policy research activities, particularly at the regional and local levels;
· Assist in the preparation of research papers, reports, and grant proposals;
· Collaborate with faculty members on various research initiatives;
· Contribute to the department's research dissemination efforts, including innovative policy dialogue activities to disseminate research findings and build relationships between the School and the wider community;
· Assist School Management in student recruitment activities;
Other duties
· Contribute to the development of the School, including mentoring junior faculty, securing external research funding and building relationships with the community;
· Other tasks and responsibilities assigned to the Employee by the University which may be adjusted from time to time.
Qualifications
What we look for
Education: Master’s Degree in Economics, Public Policy or related disciplines by start date (required).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Ability to mobilize institutional resources, including faculty, alumni, and academic/professional networks for developing, delivering, and evaluating policy research;
o Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including coursework in research methods, statistics and econometrics (required);
o Interest in pursuing an academic career in the field economics or public policy (strongly preferred);
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team (strongly preferred).
o Willing to travel and work with local governments and institutions (strongly preferred).
o Fluency in Vietnamese and English.
