About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis to join Dubai Holding Asset Management. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
The role holder is responsible for managing, coordinating and driving various portfolios’ strategic business planning, budgeting and periodical forecasts. Also responsible for critical and strategic business case analysis, reporting and monitoring of assigned portfolio. The role holder plays pivotal role in FP&A function as primary focal point of assigned portfolio by coordinating - and collaborating with heads of business units / departments to gather appropriate data for timely analysis for key decision making and improving overall financial and operating efficiencies.
Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis
- Coordinate for DHAM strategic business planning processes on a continuous basis to ensure comprehensive, high quality business plan submission to shareholders.
- Work closely with departments / business units to develop plan and forecasts. Critically analyses, challenges submissions and recommends for optimization.
- Keep abreast of both global and local market trends and indicators, short term and long term, and foresee / forecast potential impact on assigned portfolio and its plans.
Reporting and Monitoring
- Ensure budgetary controls are adequately placed through systems/processes and primary focal point for budgetary controls and portfolio performances.
- Continuously monitor business performance against approved plan and highlight potential deviations and suggest mitigation options, if any, to respective teams and higher management.
- Work together with Accounting, Treasury and Investment functions in Finance to ensure proper recording of transactions which facilitate reporting and monitoring.
Business Analysis:
- Perform meaningful analysis output which meets the requirements, provides greater insights to the requestor on impacts of the decision with respect financial and operational KPIs
- Work as a strategic and financial partner business heads and management with required business/commercial/financial analysis with recommendation to support strategic, informed decision making in line with best practices.
- Identify, assess and highlight potential analysis and monitoring requirements of assigned portfolio.
- Work closely with the Line Manager as key resource on various initiatives undertaken / lead by FP&A function.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide ideas and suggestions on achieving higher efficiencies cost and revenue drivers based on operational diagnosis and historical trends.
- Stay abreast of current and new financial technologies, tools and techniques that can be used within DHAM to improve planning, monitoring, reporting and control.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance, CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is required.
- Masters’ degree in Finance/Accounting, or MBA Finance preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of Finance / Accounting experience preferably in a large retail / real estate conglomerate.
- At least 2 years in the Middle East within FP&A is preferred.
- Previous experience using Hyperion is preferred.
- Highly skilled finance professional with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, planning, accounting, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proven track record of delivering accurate, timely analysis and clear, concise reports.
- Adept at building effective relationships across all organizational levels and managing multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial systems including Power BI, Oracle Fusion, EBS, and Hyperion/FCCS, with advanced MS Excel and MS Office expertise.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with Arabic as an added advantage.
