We are looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our group management team. As we continue our growth across multiple markets, this role is pivotal in steering our financial strategy, ensuring fiscal health, and building a modern, efficient finance function that supports our ambitious goals.

You will be responsible for the overall financial stewardship of Precis, acting as a key strategic partner to the Group CEO, Group COO and the wider leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial future of a leading digital marketing agency known for its data-driven approach and innovative spirit.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Strategic financial leadership: Develop and execute our financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives across the whole group. Provide insightful financial guidance and strategic recommendations to the Group CEO and leadership team. Communicate financial reporting and analysis to the Board, investors and other key stakeholders.

  • Financial reporting, planning & analysis: Responsible for all financial reporting across the Group. Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes. Deliver robust and automated financial analysis, reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive informed decision-making.

  • Risk management & compliance: Oversee all aspects of financial and legal risk management, with a particular focus on risks associated with large-scale media investments. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies across all operating markets.

  • Lead a modern finance function: Design and lead a lean, scalable, and highly automated finance function. Champion the use of cloud technology and best practices to drive efficiency, accuracy, and real-time insights, moving beyond traditional methods.

  • Cash flow & capital management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure effectively. Oversee investment strategies and relationships with financial institutions and potentially investors.

  • M&A: Lead the financial evaluation and due diligence process for M&A opportunities. Oversee the structuring and financial integration of acquired entities post-transaction to ensure strategic alignment and value realisation.

  • Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop our teams within finance and legal, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement aligned with Precis' core principles.

  • Employee incentive programs: Design, implement, and manage employee incentive and compensation programs. You will ensure these programs are competitive and aligned with our strategic goals to attract and retain top talent.

  • Stakeholder management: You will lead investor relations and act as a key partner to private equity owners, building trust with stakeholders, ensuring transparent and timely reporting, and driving value creation initiatives that position the company for long-term growth and successful exits

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experienced leader: Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within a company of comparable scale and business model, operating across multiple markets.

  • Functional expertise: Understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in both IFRS and K3, with the ability to apply these frameworks effectively to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance across all operations.

  • Business model experience: Deep experience within the media, advertising, or digital marketing agency sector. You possess a deep understanding of agency business models, revenue streams, and crucially, the financial risks associated with managing substantial media spend.

  • Modern mindset: You are passionate about building efficient, tech-enabled functions. You have demonstrable experience in implementing financial systems, automation, and process improvements to create lean operations. You reject "old-school" manual approaches in favour of data-driven, streamlined processes.

  • Strategic & analytical: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategic insights.

  • Leadership & communication: Strong, collaborative leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
