Legal Aid NSW delivers accessible legal services across criminal, family and civil law. We provide advice, court representation, and family dispute resolution through 28 offices and phone-based support, helping people navigate the legal system with confidence and fairness.
About The Role
Support the strategic and operational delivery of Legal Aid NSW’s security services across all sites, ensuring alignment with agency-wide safety and security recommendations. Provide expert advice on security strategy, operational and project work. Contribute to broader facilities management functions to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant workplaces.
About You
You are a trusted security professional with a sharp strategic mindset and hands-on experience in facilities management. You consistently deliver high-level guidance across daily operations and major projects, ensuring robust safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across all Legal Aid NSW sites. Your ability to integrate technical insight with strategic foresight makes you a key contributor to the agency’s security and outcome.
Your collaborative approach and deep understanding of workplace security make you a key contributor to creating safe, efficient, and future-ready environments.
We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

The essential requirements for this role
You Must:
- tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in security and facilities operations within a complex organisation.
- strong understanding of electronic security systems implementation and contract management.
- demonstrated ability to interpret and apply safety and security recommendations strategically and operationality.
- willingness to participate in emergency response and travel across NSW as required.
- be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
- hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
- hold a valid Class C Driver Licence

What strategies or systems did you implement to maintain compliance, standardisation, and operational effectiveness across multiple locations?
