ECS is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer/Technical Representative to work in our Suffolk, VA office.
ECS is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer/Technical Representative to work in a hybrid remote/on-site capacity in Suffolk, VA in support of various U.S. Government Mission Partner Enclaves within the DoD Community, each with a unique set of data and applications.
The Azure Cloud Engineer/Technical Representative works closely with project and technical teams to swiftly develop and implement solutions in an agile environment, deploy [primarily Azure-based] cloud capabilities, and support operational end users. The Azure Cloud Engineer/Technical Representative will also aid in designing, deploying, and maintaining Mission Partner Enclaves’ associated virtual infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has advanced technical acumen, strong problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with cloud networking, platform automation, and infrastructure development supporting these technologies.
This is a demanding, high-energy position that requires innovative solutions to network, hardware, and software challenges. The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team that promotes customer service, and excellence in communication, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Integrate with a team of technical experts in a highly agile environment to design and build best-in-class Azure cloud solutions and new customer capabilities.
- Implement and maintain Azure cloud solutions that support highly-available, scalable, secure applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical experts to solicit technical requirements and execute timely, seamless, and efficient product delivery.
- Support risk mitigation activities such as Assessment and Authorization (A&A), continuous monitoring, and vulnerability and configuration management.
- Conduct in-depth diagnostics and develop innovative solutions to resolve issues.
- Provide cloud engineering / administrative support to Mission Partners with network integration, testing, monitoring, server patching, connectivity issue resolution, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline. With no degree, 4+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted.
- Current DoD Secret security clearance (or higher) required to apply; Top Secret security clearance with SCI indoctrination (TS/SCI) ultimately required.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II / III certification (active, or within 45 calendar days of hire). Security+ or CISSP preferred.
- Microsoft and | or competing cloud technology certification (active, or within 365 calendar days of hire). Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, engineering, and deploying enterprise-class IT infrastructure cloud systems and services.
- Recent hands-on experience with a wide range of cloud service providers and solutions, including experience and proficiency working with Azure cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux endpoints.
- Proficiency with cloud networking and troubleshooting cloud networking environments (IP networking, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing).
- Advanced skills using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Teams).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities and execute accordingly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
