We combine innovative, evidence-based care, research, and clinician training with strategic partnerships across health plans, health systems, and MSK groups to transform rehabilitation and pediatric care.As Chief Medical Officer, you will report to the CEO and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, acting as the executive clinical leader and strategic partner to the CEO and COO while shaping the clinical vision, driving innovation, and ensuring Ivy Rehab delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. You will be responsible for advancing clinical differentiation, fostering research and training, expanding partnerships, advocating for therapy and innovation in therapy, and demonstrating the societal and healthcare value of pediatric therapy and ABA.

Job Description:
Healthcare Strategy & Clinical Leadership
- Set the overarching clinical vision for adult PT, pediatric therapy, and ABA services, ensuring excellence, innovation, and differentiation.
- Partner with the COO and executive team to develop and execute enterprise-wide clinical strategy aligned with organizational growth and patient outcomes.
- Represent the clinical voice in operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing Clinical Excellence team by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth; provide mentorship, clear career development pathways, and empower team members to achieve both individual and organizational goals.
Medical Oversight & Compliance
- Ensure clinical quality, patient safety, and adherence to federal, state, and industry regulations.
- Establish standards for clinical care, compliance, and operational protocols across all locations and service lines.
- Maintain awareness of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices, translating them into actionable strategies.
Population Health & Clinical Innovation
- Design and implement programs that optimize patient outcomes, including chronic disease management, preventative care, and care coordination.
- Promote evidence-based practices and standardized clinical pathways to reduce variation and improve outcomes.
- Lead initiatives leveraging technology, data analytics, and innovation to improve patient access, care quality, and satisfaction.
- Partner to innovate ways to expand access for patients and families including leveraging new and emerging technologies such as AI.
Research, Training & Differentiation
- Drive research initiatives to demonstrate clinical efficacy, outcomes, and societal value of Ivy Rehab services.
- Develop clinician training programs, mentorship structures, and professional development initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
- Promote Ivy Rehab’s clinical differentiation in the marketplace through outcomes, thought leadership, and partnerships.
Partnerships & Value Creation
- Collaborate with health plans, health systems, medical groups, and MSK partners to expand integrated care models.
- Advocate for the value of pediatric therapy and ABA services, demonstrating impact on individuals and society.
- Support adoption of innovative reimbursement models tied to clinical performance and patient outcomes.
Executive Influence & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a visible clinical leader internally and externally, including with executive teams, boards, physicians, therapists, partners, and patient advocacy groups.
- Mentor and develop emerging clinical leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth.
- Promote a collaborative Clinical Excellence and Patient First culture across all clinical teams.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent clinical leadership credential; board certification required.
- Minimum 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, including oversight of clinical teams, program development, research, and quality initiatives in a multi-site or multi-service organization.
- Proven success in building partnerships with health systems, payers, and specialty care providers.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and operational skills with ability to drive complex initiatives to completion.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
