Summary
As a member of the Overlay Trading Team, you will be responsible for implementing Kestra Investment Management strategies on behalf of financial advisors and their clients. This role offers the opportunity to support the development and execution of the firm’s investment offerings. You will work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and operations teams to execute trades, monitor exposures, and ensure alignment with predefined models and client objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute trades for client accounts based on predefined single- and multi-sleeve trading models, in accordance with product guidelines and firm policies.
• Analyze portfolio data for outliers, discrepancies, and deviations from target models; recommend adjustments to maintain alignment.
• Monitor and manage cash flows, currency exposures, asset allocations, and tax considerations (e.g., capital gains/losses) to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.
• Assist with the administration of centrally managed platforms, including rebalancing portfolios, implementing investment strategies, and responding to market events.
• Collaborate with third-party managers and internal teams to integrate overlay strategies within UMA structures.
• Review and process trade orders with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and best execution practices.
• Support performance reporting, risk assessments, and client-specific portfolio customizations.
• Stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in overlay management techniques.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong operational knowledge of trading platforms, order management systems, and portfolio management software.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Morningstar Direct, FactSet, or similar systems.
• Deep understanding of wealth management principles, UMA structures, and overlay strategies (e.g., tax optimization, risk overlays).
• Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with internal teams and external managers.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to investment trading.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or related field required.
• MBA or CFA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in wealth management, investment operations, or trading.
• Minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
• FINRA Series 7 required.
• FINRA Series 63 or 66 required.
• Series 65 preferred.
