SUMMARY
Successfully and effectively leads all aspects of an efficient and cost-effective distribution network, including overseeing 4 domestic distribution centers as well as international shipments. Operations include inbound activities related to receipt and storage of goods, inventory management, slotting, and returns. Outbound activities related to order planning, picking and shipping. Responsible for DC fill-rate, budgeting, customer service levels, facility and equipment maintenance/operations. Responsible for overall inventory management, space management, productivity, accuracy, process and systems improvement initiatives, and loss prevention programs to ensure both customer requirements and financial requirements are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. This job is primarily concerned with successfully and effectively leading all aspects of the Myers Tire Supply DC operations, including overseeing 4 domestic DC’s as well as international shipments.
2. Oversee all daily operations to ensure the DC’s maximizes contribution towards meeting or exceeding targeted fill-rates so as to meet or exceed customer satisfaction levels.
3. Establish, monitor and facilitate efficient production and quality standards, as well as performance metrics to meet logistic schedules and goals to ensure meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction.
4. Ensures compliance with all safety, quality and governmental requirements.
5. Plan, develop and implement long-term strategic planning of distribution goals, personnel development, and business objectives.
6. Establish, maintain and analyze budgets, records, and other controls to keep costs at a minimum.
7. Review financial/purchasing performance of the distribution centers.
8. Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
9. Ensure safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
10. Coach and review performance of direct reports.
11. Support company affirmative action plans and goals.
12. Lead in creating a vision and employee environment for continuous improvement.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Management responsibilities for the 4 domestic DC operations, including directly managing and mentoring 4 DC Manager’s, as well as indirectly all DC supervisors and employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must Have Skills, Education and Training
1. Bachelor’s degree (highly preferred) or 8-10 years of warehousing / distribution center management experience required, including multi-site management experience. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Experience with and knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules required.
3. Knowledge of general business practices and cost accounting principles.
4. Experience dealing with all levels of management and with resolving customer issues.
5. Strong communication and leadership skills a must:
a. Demonstrated ability to anticipate business opportunities and obstacles.
b. Experience in generating fresh, innovative perspectives and solutions that are value-added.
c. Ability to analyze problems and identify solutions quickly.
d. Demonstrated ability to build teams.
e. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, listening skills.
f. Organization, data analysis and interpretation skills.
g. Ability to plan, schedule, relate ideas, and coordinate priorities.
6. Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
7. Hands-on LEAN experience
8. Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle report (insurable)
Preferred Qualifications, Skills
1. Broad knowledge and experience with material handling, warehouse operations and transportation systems. Prefer knowledge of RF scanning, conveyors, flow racks, carousels, etc
2. Product knowledge in the automotive parts aftermarket
3. Institutional knowledge within Myers Tire Supply
4. Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt certification
