Some of what you will do:
The Sourcing Manager is responsible to create and foster working relationships leaders in Canada to increase awareness and adoption of the National Sourcing Process. The Manager will use financial data and leadership input to create the necessary sourcing strategies (RFP/I) and oversee execution of said processes up to and including contract creation and documentation of project outcomes. The goal of this role is to drive awareness, adoption and cost reduction.
Specifically, You Will:
- Proactively translates, organize, plan and coordinate all elements of the sourcing process
- Managing the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
- Together with leadership, determine strategic and tactical plans for commodity and service procurement.
- Conduct spend analysis, vendor contract analysis and other diagnostics to develop an annual sourcing and savings plan.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand their sourcing needs, specifications, and requirements
- Lead supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with ethical standards, legal regulations, and industry best practices
Some of what you need:
- Post Secondary degree, sourcing certification
- 8-10 years business experience, including 5 in the sourcing field and a minimum of 2 - 3 years in project management.
- Experience in developing Indirect Materials sourcing strategies, conducting a rigorous sourcing and supplier selection process and contracting. Specific category expertise in one of Marketing, Professional Services, IT, Facilities, Supply Chain or Transportation sourcing.
- Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies, including creating and analyze RFI’s and RFP’s and conducting supplier negotiations, in multiple of the following areas: technology, marketing, facilities, supply chain, professional services and general sourcing categories.
- Proven contract and negotiation skills, utilizing sourcing techniques including the Internet, automation tools, negotiation strategy development and implementation, baseline development, profiling supplier markets, etc. to maximize sourcing and process improvement effectiveness.
