Description

Emergency & Trauma Imaging is a pivotal component of imaging excellence at Yale.  Over 20 years ago Yale Radiology & Biomedical Imaging  was one of the first academic departments to provide dedicated attending led, in-house, contemporaneous reporting for our emergency physician colleagues 24/7.  Since then, we have earned a national reputation for providing progressive and innovative clinical and academic expertise in emergency imaging.

The Yale School of Medicine and the Yale-New Haven Health System  are now seeking a dynamic and accomplished radiologist to lead our Emergency & Trauma Imaging Section. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape and drive the future of academic emergency & trauma radiology on the national stage by overseeing services and research in this field within one of the largest hospitals in the US and at one of the most prestigious Universities within the country.

The Emergency & Trauma Imaging Section provides services to Yale New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital and to other facilities across the region.  The section includes  20 dedicated emergency radiologists and offers fellowships in both emergency imaging and radiology administration (which includes candidates earning a Yale Executive MBA over a 2 year period).  The section employs physician extenders to provide faculty clinical support  and utilizes the power of several AI tools to enhance  image interpretation.  The spectrum of service is provided 24/7 with on-site and remote shifts.

Rank will be commensurate with experience.
