What Will You Do?

Marquette is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dining Room Supervisor to join our team! This position provides full-scope, hands-on dining room management in the Culinary Services Department. The candidate selected for this role is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

Job Salary Range: $19- $24.00 an hour.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Supervisor:

  • Supervises the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations including service isle, table bases, table place settings, chairs, floors, drapes, and lighting.
  • Responsible for the overall dining experience including room service and buffet services to ensure that guests are satisfied. 
  • Assists in providing on-the-job training for dining room personnel. Along with on- going training.
  • Coordinates the seating of residents served in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Schedules stations and work assignments for the wait staff and check out servers to make sure standards are met.
  • Maintains all POS including meal counts, reservations, and additional charges.       

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • High school diploma/GED or the equivalent education, training and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years restaurant, hotel or senior living experience required. (Senior living experience preferred)
  • 3 years of management experience required. 
  • Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer, or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
  • Catering experience is a plus, not required. 
  • Ninety percent (90%) of workday spent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and stooping. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up-to fifty (50) pounds frequently.
